Lebanon's Ambassador to Moscow, Shawki Bou Nassar, stated that Russia is a great and friendly power.
As the consul pointed out, Lebanon aims to develop bilateral and fruitful relations with Moscow.
In addition, Bou Nassar pointed out: "Russia has a significant role to play in the Middle East region. Its interactions with Lebanon are quite ancient," as reported by TASS .
According to the ambassador, since the reign of Catherine the Great, Russian missions have been sent to Lebanon.
Productive relationships
Bou Nassar noted that friendship with Russia has made it possible to build many schools, hospitals, and churches in Lebanon.
The consul added: “A large number of civil infrastructure facilities were built precisely thanks to Moscow.”
As the ambassador noted, many residents of Lebanon have learned Russian and speak it to varying degrees.
Diplomatic relations between Lebanon and Russia were first established on August 5, 1944.
