The Kremlin has commented on data on seven telephone conversations between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

They denied reports that former US President Donald Trump made frequent calls to Russian leader Vladimir Putin after leaving the White House.

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, called this information incorrect, RIA Novosti writes.

Peskov stated that this is disinformation from the Western press and part of the US political election campaign.

He stressed that such claims are unfounded.

The telephone conversations were previously reported by CNN, citing journalist Bob Woodward's book, "War."

In the book, Woodward claims that Trump spoke with Putin in early 2024.

The New York Times, which received a copy of the book, wrote about seven secret calls Trump made to Putin after the end of his presidential term.

At the same time, Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller emphasized in a conversation with Woodward that he knew nothing about such contacts.
