The Kazakh authorities commented on their position on compliance with sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Kazakhstan will not support anti-Russian sanctions on goods produced in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin stated this in an interview with Pavel Zarubin on the Telegram channel.
Kazakhstan has notified Western countries that it will not adhere to sanctions against Russia to the detriment of its own interests.
According to Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin, the republic does not support sanctions.
Naturally, we do not support sanctions against the Russian Federation, but we will not be a country to bypass them, he said.
He also recalled that sanctions will, first of all, have a negative impact on the economy of Kazakhstan.
The country understands this well and therefore will not take steps to the detriment of its own economy.
Zhumangarin explained that restrictions are not being implemented with regard to sanctioned goods. Since, as he noted, huge production facilities and work collectives are behind them.
