A week later, Joe Biden analyzed his debate with Donald Trump and admitted that he did not show himself in the best light.

The US President shared his comments on this topic with journalist Earl Ingram.

Biden will count June 27 as one of his unsuccessful days, because he failed to crush Trump.

The past debates only strengthened the position of his competitor, while Biden’s authority was further undermined, Civic Media reports.

"The fact is, I screwed up. I made a mistake," the US president said critically of his performance.

Now American media and social networks are seriously discussing the version that “old man Biden” will not participate in the elections.

Democrats are expected to be scrambling to find a replacement, which could be announced later this fall.

The media is suggesting Kamala Harris as a vice-president option. She could become the first female president of the United States.

A poll was also conducted which showed that there are many people in the country who are ready to support former first lady Michelle Obama.

Public opinion research has shown that she is capable of beating even Trump in the elections.

Earlier, the US Treasury Department warned of secondary sanctions for transactions with Russian companies.
