The authorities of Hungary and Slovakia have complained to the European Commission (EC) about problems with oil supplies from Russia.
A special commission will be created to sort out the situation. Preliminary, Ukraine is considered the guilty party.
On the air of the M1 TV channel, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that Budapest, together with Slovakia, is launching consultations with members of the European Commission.
This is a preliminary stage before the creation of a special commission on the current situation. The EC will have 3 days to hold consultations with Kiev.
Szijjarto stressed that Ukraine had stopped oil transit from Russia to Hungary and Slovakia. This decision violated Kyiv's association agreement with the European Union.
This agreement gives the injured party the right to initiate consultations, at which EC representatives must be present.
If the situation is not resolved, the European Union is authorized to raise the issue of returning customs duties on imports from Ukraine, Szijjártó indicated.
