This point of view is shared by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, Alexei Zhuravlev, RIA Novosti reports.
Let us recall that we are talking about the statement of the American president, in which the head of state calls for striving for the complete elimination of nuclear arsenals in the world.
Biden said he was ready to hold relevant negotiations with Russia, North Korea and China.
At the same time, Zhuravlev recalled that Biden will no longer be in the White House in a month. The current president is not participating in the presidential race, therefore, power will soon change.
Therefore, all his statements about negotiations can be regarded as nothing more than hot air, especially since discussions of nuclear arms control require careful, multi-year elaboration.
And this is not to mention the fact that the US government itself is allocating huge amounts of money to the development, strengthening and expansion of its nuclear triad.
