New details of the case of the Telegram founder have become known.
France stated that Pavel Durov does not want to make contact with Russian representatives.
This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to Paris, Alexei Meshkov, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the representative of the diplomatic mission, Russia has repeatedly demanded that materials on the businessman's case be provided. However, the French side has never provided them.
Meshkov emphasized that this could be connected with the French attitude towards Pavel Durov.
The businessman has French citizenship, so the French authorities consider his case as a French citizen and treat him accordingly.
This is why the diplomatic agency has been denied all requests to provide access to materials on the Durov case.
At the same time, it was said that Durov shows no interest in contacts with us, the ambassador stated.
Let us recall that Pavel Durov was detained at the French airport Le Bourget on August 24. If he is charged and sentenced, the businessman could face up to 10 years in prison.
