The former head of Austrian diplomacy named four countries that could be involved in undermining the Nord Stream pipeline.

Karin Kneissl spoke on this topic during the presentation of her book “Requiem for Europe” in St. Petersburg.

The diplomat was asked to share his opinion about those involved in the terrorist attack on Nord Stream, TASS reports.

The former head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry decided to respond with a reference to the works of Agatha Christie.

She noted that in this story, as in the writer's novels, "there are many suspects."

"I don't know if we'll ever find out 'who the murderer is', if we'll ever find Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. I think there are many suspects. At least three," Kneissl said.

The diplomat believes that at least Britain, Norway, and Ukraine were involved in the terrorist attack.

Kneissl also suggested that Poland could be included in the list of “suspects.”

The former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this is probably not a complete list.

She does not rule out that other countries were also involved in what happened and the list of those responsible is much wider.

For example, Kneissl did not include the United States in her list.

Some investigators call Washington the organizer and coordinator of the terrorist attack.

The perpetrators are believed to be the intelligence services of NATO countries, which have all the resources necessary for this.
