Economic sanctions against Russia have been extended for the next six months.
Permanent representatives of EU member states agreed on the extension at a meeting on Wednesday.
The agreed sanctions points will be approved at the EU Foreign Ministers Council on Monday, TASS reports.
The sanctions are extended for six months until the end of January 2025, European sources emphasize.
The Permanent Representatives agreed on all points for submission to the EU Foreign Ministers Council for approval.
These sanctions were previously extended at the end of January and are set to expire on July 31, 2024.
EU ambassadors have agreed on a new extension of sanctions, which is scheduled to be approved at a meeting of EU foreign ministers on July 22.
