The head of the Ministry of Defense spoke about the threats to Russia that come from US missiles in Germany.
Andrey Belousov spoke about this at the final board meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry. His words are quoted by the department's Telegram channel.
The minister said that in 2026, American missiles capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 2,400 km will appear on German territory.
Washington and Berlin officially announced their plans in the summer of 2024.
Belousov added that German and American military cooperation also involves the deployment of hypersonic missiles with a flight time to Moscow of about 8 minutes.
The head of the Ministry of Defense mentioned NATO's combat readiness system, which envisages the possibility of deploying 300,000 troops to Russia's western borders within four weeks.
Another threat to the Russian Federation is related to the American base in Redzikowo (Poland). It is located 165 km from the border of the Kaliningrad region.
It has all the necessary infrastructure to launch Tomahawk missiles.
