US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin spoke about how Washington assesses strategic cooperation between Russia and China.

The Pentagon is alarmed by information about Russian and Chinese bomber flights over the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska.

Recently, the American military had a topic for discussion: strengthening Russian-Chinese cooperation in the military sphere.

This week, Russian and Chinese bombers conducted a joint patrol of an area off the coast of Alaska, the 49th state of the United States.

“These relations [between Russia and China] are of constant concern to us,” the Associated Press quotes the Pentagon chief as saying.

The agency also noted that this was the first time that Chinese bombers flew within the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).

In addition, for the first time, aircraft from the two countries took off from the same base, which is located in the northeast of the Russian Federation.
