The politician's bravado only further proves the US's involvement in what happened.
Leonid Slutsky made this statement in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
Let us recall that we are talking about Trump’s words, spoken by him in an interview that the politician gave to the famous journalist Tucker Carlson.
In it, Trump called America a country of fools and admitted that he was involved in the accident at Nord Stream.
As Slutsky emphasized, it is difficult to call Trump a friend of Russia. He recalled that it was during the politician's rule that the largest number of anti-Russian sanctions were introduced.
And his bravado about the explosion of the largest gas pipeline supplying gas from Russia to Germany only underscores Washington's involvement in what happened.
He [Trump – editor’s note] is pursuing interests exclusively of economic gain,” Slutsky emphasized.
This is precisely why Nord Stream came under attack: its existence hindered the supply of American gas to Europe.
