Benjamin Netanyahu Calls Parents of Russian Killed in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the parents of the deceased Russian citizen taken hostage by Hamas.

Netanyahu, in a telephone conversation with relatives of a Russian citizen, apologized for the fact that the IDF was unable to rescue the Russian from captivity alive.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office reported this on September 1.

Earlier, the IDF published a list of hostages who died in Hamas captivity in Gaza.

The bodies of the victims, including a Russian, were found in an underground tunnel in the Rafah area.

The bodies were recovered during the hostage rescue operation and delivered to Israel.

According to the forensic examination, traces of bullet wounds were found on the bodies of the deceased.

The IDF believes that the hostages were killed shortly before they were discovered.

On the same day, relatives were notified of the deaths.

Benjamin Netanyahu called the parents of Russian citizen Alexander Lobanov to express his condolences and ask for forgiveness for the death of their son.
