The Russian Ambassador to Turkey commented on Ankara's accession to anti-Russian sanctions.
According to the diplomat, such a step will negatively impact the development of relations between the two countries.
Alexey Erkhov stated this in a commentary to RIA Novosti . According to him, Turkey is already practicing "squeezing out" companies that are engaged in the transit of various goods to the Russian Federation.
Let us recall that Washington previously introduced new anti-Russian sanctions that affected Gazprombank, through which payments for Russian gas supplies are made. This has already caused the suspension of early hotel bookings in Turkey.
As the ambassador emphasized, this situation has arisen because Türkiye is adapting to Western sanctions. And the banking system is no exception.
It is noted that the situation with the ban on transactions was commented on by Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Turkish President noted that both countries continue to work to maintain the possibility of payment.
