Russian Ambassador to South Korea Georgy Zinoviev commented on rumors about the possible dispatch of North Korean troops to the Russian Federation.
He said the evidence presented was not convincing.
Zinoviev noted that he has no official information about the DPRK’s intention to send any military units to the Russian Federation, the Chosun publication reports.
I cannot confirm the veracity of these reports, he said.
Zinoviev added that the evidence that was presented did not look convincing.
The ambassador also noted that Western officials are in no hurry to support these rumors.
In turn, the DPRK representative to the UN sharply criticized South Korea's accusations, calling them groundless rumors.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also confirmed that military cooperation between Russia and the DPRK is built within the framework of international law.
