Meteorological summer in Moscow will last 130 days, which is 31 days more than normal.
According to information from the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, Evgeny Tishkovets, summer will end on September 22.
Usually this period ends on September 1. This year the warm season will last until the end of the month, RIA Novosti writes.
The weather forecaster also reported that Muscovites can expect a gradual decrease in temperature in the coming week.
On Monday and Tuesday the temperature at night will be up to 9-12, during the day – up to +25.
Temperatures will begin to drop from Wednesday.
Already on Thursday afternoon, temperatures are forecast to reach 20-23 degrees Celsius. And on Friday and Saturday, around plus 20.
On Sunday, the air temperature will not rise above 16-19 degrees. Short rains are also possible.
From September 27, Moscow will be covered by a wave of polar cold. At this time, night temperatures will fall to 1-6 degrees Celsius, daytime temperatures to 6-11 degrees Celsius.
By mid-October, the average daily temperature will drop below 10 degrees Celsius. This will mean the end of meteorological summer.
