Forecaster Roman Vilfand stated that snow will cover 85% of the territory of the Russian Federation from November 5.
Most of Russia will be under snow cover from the beginning of November.
Snow will appear in the northern half of Russia, TASS writes.
Snow cover will appear in the Northwestern Federal District, the Far East, and the Central and Volga Federal Districts.
According to Vilfand, the snow will be temporary. The snow situation may change.
This is normal for this time of year, the forecaster said.
In Moscow, it may fall on November 3. By November 4 and 5, the snow depth is predicted to be up to 4–6 cm.
Forecasters also noted that the winter period in Central Russia in 2024 will begin later than usual.
In recent years, winter has begun to arrive 20 days later due to climate change.
