Details of the arrest of the head of the city of Dolgoprudny have become known.
An official accused of fraud could face up to 10 years in prison.
This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing information provided by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region.
It is noted that the head of the Dolgoprudny urban district is going to be charged under two articles: abuse of office and fraud.
An acquaintance of the head of the district is also a defendant in the case.
It is noted that the maximum term under the article on abuse of power can only be 7 years of imprisonment.
However, under the article on fraud, the official could be sentenced to 10 years in prison.

In addition to imprisonment, Yudin may also face a ban on holding public office, as well as large fines.
The official is accused of causing damage to the city budget in the amount of 44 million rubles.
