Two employees of the institution were accused of illegally depriving patients of liberty suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
Circumstances of the case
What was happening in the Moscow region center became known thanks to a statement filed by one of the victims. After that, the illegal activity of two employees of the medical institution was stopped.
As the investigation established, cases of illegal detention of people were recorded between May 2023 and August of this year.
People with addictions were deprived of food and also subjected to physical violence.
Investigators who arrived at the scene of the incident are working to determine the causes and collect evidence.
