Suspecting the customer of theft, the employee used unacceptable violence against the citizen.
The X5 Group, which manages the Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Chizhik supermarket chains, told RIA Novosti journalists that the culprit had been suspended from work.

The video footage shows a man in a security uniform hitting a man on the street, after which he returned back to the store with an employee.
As X5 Group clarified, the security guard suspected the victim of theft, and therefore decided to use force against the suspect. He was suspended from work, as his actions were considered an unacceptable abuse of authority.
A corresponding requirement to comply with existing standards of conduct for security personnel will be sent to the company's management.
Law enforcement agencies are also conducting an investigation and establishing the circumstances of the theft.
