A 65-year-old Russian threw objects containing flammable liquid at a police car.
Details were reported on Tuesday, December 24, by the press service of the Moscow prosecutor's office.
At approximately 17:00, a man arrived at the Arbat police department building.
He got out of the car and threw an object with an incendiary mixture towards the police car, starting a fire.
Then he took out another identical object and also threw it towards the service car.
The perpetrator was then detained.
The crime in the center of Moscow was committed by a 65-year-old man.
It is reported that the Russian did this on orders from telephone scammers.
First he lost his money and then he was involved in illegal activities.
There were no casualties as a result of the incident, the damage was minimal.
In Russia, the number of such incidents has increased in recent days.
In different cities of the country people set fire to ATMs, police cars, launch fireworks in banks and shopping centers, and they do all this after receiving a call from telephone scammers.
