In Moscow, they were able to provide timely assistance to a patient who was diagnosed with two serious cardiovascular diseases at once.
The 38-year-old man was hospitalized with suspected stroke and heart attack at the same time, and this suspicion was confirmed.
Deputy Mayor of the capital for social development Anastasia Rakova reported this to RIA Novosti journalists.
Rakova recalled that cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death in the world.
This is why it is so important to help patients in a timely manner, for which a special infarction network was created in Moscow in 2013.
And recently, this network helped save the life of a 38-year-old man who was admitted with signs of a stroke. An MRI scan confirmed the doctors' fears, and the man's condition was quickly stabilized.
However, as it turned out later, in parallel with the stroke, the patient developed a myocardial infarction. The man was taken to the X-ray operating room, where he was diagnosed with arterial stenosis.
Surgeons performed an emergency operation to install a stand in the patient's affected vessel and saved his life.
