A passenger on the capital's subway used a bladed weapon after one request.

Details of the incident were revealed by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk in the department’s Telegram channel.

The incident occurred in a subway car when the train departed from Kitay-Gorod station towards Turgenevskaya.

A resident of the Volgograd region called on one of the passengers to give up his seat to a woman.

He reacted quite sharply. A conflict occurred between the men, during which a knife was used.

A Russian who refused to give up his seat hit a resident of the Volgograd region in the neck and then ran away.

The victim received medical assistance. Details about his condition have not been released.

Law enforcement officers went to search for the perpetrator and soon detained him at his place of residence. A criminal case was opened.
