This was reported by the Commissioner for Children's Rights in Moscow, Olga Yaroslavskaya, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the capital's Investigative Committee, on July 24, a man attacked a woman and child near a house on Fergansky Proezd.
He snatched the 2024 baby from her arms and tried to escape.
Eyewitnesses chased the kidnapper, and he threw the baby to the ground.
As a result of the incident, the child will receive injuries of varying degrees of severity.
Ombudsman Yaroslavskaya assured that everything is fine with him and he is under the supervision of doctors.
"Everything is under control while he is with the doctors," she said.
She also stressed that the child’s condition does not cause concern.
