Moscow has announced new measures concerning pensioners.
From January 1, older people can expect an increase in their pension.
This information was reported to RIA Novosti by the Chairperson of the Moscow City Duma Committee on Economic and Social Policy, Lyudmila Guseva.
According to a government representative, additional payments will be organized starting from January 1, 2025.
It is noted that the amount of the additional payment depends on how long the pensioner has lived in the capital.
If an elderly person is registered and has lived in Moscow for less than ten years, then taking into account indexation in January, he will receive 17,897 rubles.
If a person has lived in the capital for more than 10 years, he is assigned a payment of 25,850 rubles.
According to Guseva, pensions will be indexed by 5.5%.
The Moscow City Duma Chairperson reminded that pension indexation depends on decisions made by the Russian Social Fund. And additional payments are formed based on the funds of the Moscow budget.
