Weather stations recorded January snowdrifts in the Moscow region.
According to forecasts for the coming days, Moscow will be covered by almost Epiphany frosts.
Leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets shared details about the weather for the coming week in his Telegram channel.
According to the weather forecaster, the highest snowdrifts of up to 30 cm were recorded in Volokolamsk and Klin.
He said that in the near future the Moscow region will find itself in the grip of severe cold.
According to Tishkovets, on December 19 the air temperature will drop to minus 6 - 11 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday night the temperature will drop sharply to minus 15 degrees, and during the day to minus 5-10 degrees.
The weather forecaster noted that such low temperatures are more typical for January.
The frosts will not weaken before the weekend. By Saturday, December 21, the night temperature will be minus 8 degrees, and during the day it will warm up to zero.
