The end of the current week and the beginning of next week will not bring good weather in the capital.
According to weather forecasters, heavy snowfalls will begin on Sunday evening and will soon cover Moscow.
The capital's city services, which are dealing with the consequences of adverse weather, have been put on high alert, said Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Public Utilities Pyotr Biryukov.
The required amount of equipment and teams have been prepared, the official’s words are quoted by the Telegram channel of the Moscow City Services Complex.
Biryukov recalled that in the next 24 hours the weather situation in Moscow could really change dramatically.
Heavy snowfall is expected to begin in the capital after 9:00 p.m. on November 3, accompanied by winds gusting up to 14 meters per second.
Forecasters predict that up to 10 centimeters of snow could fall in 24 hours.
In this regard, utility workers constantly monitor the condition of the roads in order to sweep the asphalt from snow in a timely manner.
