Moscow Region Wants to Impose Restrictions on Migrant Work

The Moscow region authorities are considering the possibility of restricting the work of migrants with a patent in the areas of public catering, education and healthcare.

This proposal was put forward by Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government Natalia Maslenkina.

Restrictions, in particular, may affect street food in non-stationary retail outlets, RIA Novosti writes.

In addition, possible restrictions on the work of migrants in educational and medical institutions are being considered.

Restrictions may also affect the areas of sports, leisure and social services.

In general, the restrictions are aimed at improving the quality of services provided in the specified areas.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the measures will help reduce the risks of possible conflicts.

The Moscow region intends to join 22 regions of the Russian Federation that have already introduced a ban on migrants working with patents in the specified areas.

Maslenkina emphasized that these measures will help improve the quality of services provided to the population.
