Moscow is planning to continue the fight against unsafe scooter riding.
In particular, it is planned to increase some types of fines up to 100 thousand rubles.
The Moscow Department of Transport proposed such measures in its Telegram channel.
Having addressed the operators of SIM rental services, the Department of Transport proposed to raise fines for riding electric scooters together. The tightening of measures also concerns cases when adults hand over the steering wheel to children.
If the department's initiative is supported, violators of the above conditions will face a fine of up to 100 thousand rubles.
The Department of Transport reminded that parents who travel with their children on the same transport are taking a great risk.
The reason is that the center of gravity shifts during movement, which can lead to an accident. For example, if a small bump or pothole appears on the electric scooter’s path, a fall may occur, which will certainly lead to serious injuries.
