Doctors helped a baby who suffered from a heart defect. The details are reported by the Moscow Agency with reference to the press service of the social development complex and Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.
It is noted that Taussig-Bing anomaly is observed in 1% of newborns.
According to Rakova, the baby was taken to the Morozov Children's City Clinical Hospital with a heart defect. This disease was detected in the prenatal period.
She noted that after being admitted to the hospital, doctors examined the child and then began surgery.
According to the press service, the operation took place in two stages. First, specialists restored the baby's aortic arch and protected the lungs from excessive pressure.
It was also noted there that after some time, doctors began the second stage. They moved the aorta and pulmonary artery to anatomically correct positions.
It is added that after the operation the child feels well and was discharged home.
