In Moscow, a sentence was passed on criminal authority David Chachibai.
The convicted man received a 15-year sentence, which he will have to serve in a maximum security penal colony.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to information confirmed by the Moscow City Court.
It is noted that the convicted person was involved in several cases:
- occupying a high position in the criminal hierarchy;
- extortion of funds on an especially large scale.
Circumstances of the case
According to investigators, David Chachibay (real name David Gerliani) organized a criminal group in 2020.
Under his leadership, the criminals put pressure on the victim and his family, forcing them to pay them an impressive sum of 15 million rubles.
Chachibai was a crime boss whose influence extended over several regions of Russia.
In Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as in the Moscow Region, Leningrad Region, Smolensk and Ulyanovsk Regions, the criminal identified his assistants from among those held in custody, who then carried out his orders.
