Police officers detained a man for stealing an antique watch. The details are reported by the Moscow Agency with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Moscow.
The scene of the incident was an apartment in a building on Tsander Street.
It is noted that in the specified location the young man discovered the loss of an antique watch worth over 55 thousand rubles. He soon decided to contact the police.
According to the press service, law enforcement officers located the suspect, a 41-year-old man. He was promptly detained.
It was also noted there that the detainee was courting a pensioner. One day, he took the keys to the woman's apartment, and after her death, he took advantage of this and committed theft.
It is added that a criminal case has now been opened under the article on theft. The man is under house arrest.
