In the Moscow region there are cases of children being born with extremely low birth weight.
Thanks to the work of medical specialists, many children can be saved.
Since the beginning of 2024, more than 2,000 premature babies have been saved in the Moscow region. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health, citing Minister Alexei Sapanyuk.
It is noted that of the indicated number of newborns, 188 children had extremely low birth weight.
According to Sapanyuk, the smallest newborn weighed 450 grams. It was possible to nurse him back to health.
He noted that all conditions have been created for pregnant women, children and women in labor. For example, the institutions have the necessary medical equipment
It is added that the child's rescue is the result of the work of a team of specialists.
The region has a multi-level maternity care system. It consists of maternity hospitals and perinatal centers.
