At the beginning of summer, there was an outbreak of botulism in some Russian regions.

As a result, a huge number of people suffered. There were also cases of death of citizens.

In Balashikha, the enterprise where the beans that led to the botulism outbreak were produced was closed. TASS reports the details, citing Rospotrebnadzor head Anna Popova.

It is noted that the closure of the enterprise is not a temporary solution. It is closed forever.

In addition, the work of "LokalKitchen" ("Kitchen in the neighborhood") is currently suspended.

According to Popova, specialists seized a huge amount of products – 250 tons. Declarations in the amount of 100 units were also recalled.

It is added that the number of people affected by botulism was 415. There were 2 deaths.

People who suffered from botulism ordered food from the companies "LocalKitchen" and "Gastroport".
