Police officers detained a woman for deceiving a pensioner in Moscow. The details are reported by the Moscow Agency with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Moscow.

It is noted that a fake employee of a government agency contacted the elderly woman. She convinced the pensioner to exchange money for new bills in connection with the alleged monetary reform.

According to the press service, the elderly Muscovite believed the attacker's words, so she gave her 320 thousand rubles.

They also noted that after some time the pensioner realized that she had fallen into a scammers’ trap.

In addition, the suspect was soon detained. She turned out to be a 54-year-old woman with a criminal record.

It is added that a criminal case has now been opened. The woman is in custody.
