In Moscow, charges have been brought against extortionists who operated in the capital, as well as in the Moscow and Tambov regions.
To intimidate, the attackers fired air guns at apartment windows and vehicles.
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, shared details of the incident on her Telegram channel.
According to the agency's representative, the suspects have been charged under the following articles:
- intentional causing of harm to health;
- intentional damage to someone else's property;
- hooliganism;
- illegal arms trafficking;
- extortion.
It is noted that the defendants in the case began their criminal activities in 2022. They intimidated people, extorted large sums of money from them, and also forced them to give them their property, including cars and living space.
Seven people were recognized as victims of the attackers, one of whom was injured. The amount of damage caused to people was estimated at 12 million rubles.
