A massive traffic accident occurred in the Moscow region due to the fault of a law enforcement officer.
As the investigation established, the culprit of the incident was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
The press service of the Moscow Region Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this on its Telegram channel.
According to the department, the incident in question occurred last Sunday in the city of Vidnoye.
While driving on a one-way street, the driver of a Skoda drove onto a one-way road in the opposite direction, on which a Volkswagen was driving at that moment.
The impact caused the latter to crash into another road user's vehicle, a Hyundai.
It is noted that the mass accident did not result in casualties or injuries. Three colliding vehicles received mechanical damage to the body.
It turned out that the person responsible for the accident was a law enforcement officer who was not on duty at the time of the incident.
A medical examination showed that the man was driving while intoxicated.
