An incident involving a traffic cop that occurred in Moscow has become known.

The driver stepped on the gas when he was stopped by a traffic police officer and was holding onto the car door handle.

As RIA Novosti , which has the relevant court materials, clarifies, this incident occurred in the village of Voronovskoye.

A traffic police officer stopped a car that violated the rules, but its driver did not want to cooperate with the law enforcement officer.

According to the agency, he first refused to show documents after stopping, and then pressed the gas pedal. During this, the policeman held the door handle on the driver's side.

As a result, the traffic cop was dragged along the road surface for several meters, after which the traffic police officer fell. The incident did not go without consequences: it is claimed that the police officer felt pain in the ankle area.

The driver's defense insists that the traffic cop himself grabbed the door handle, not wanting to let the offender go.

It is noted that as a result, the traffic police officer was penalized for not observing personal safety measures. The driver was sentenced to two years of forced labor, and he will also pay 5% of his salary to the state.
