Doctors saved the life of an overweight patient who lost 1.5 liters of blood due to a stomach ulcer. The Moscow Agency reports details, citing the press service of the regional Ministry of Health and the head of the surgical department of branch No. 1, Igor Polyakov.
It is noted that a man was admitted to the Orekhovo-Zuyevo hospital. He suffered from vomiting blood, a feeling of weakness and pain in the abdomen.
According to Polyakov, the man, who is obese, lost a large amount of blood. The presence of other ailments made treatment difficult.
He noted that before the operation, doctors stopped the bleeding. Then they embolized the vessel and normalized the man's condition.
It is added that the man has now been discharged from the institution.
