An explosion occurred on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow.
The incident occurred for an as yet unknown reason.
This was reported by the TASS agency with reference to the capital’s emergency services.
According to preliminary data, the incident occurred in a residential building at 2/1 Ryazansky Prospekt.
Presumably, the epicenter of the explosion was the first floor of the building, as a result of which the glazing from the first to the fourth floors of the building, as well as its entrance and front door, was damaged.
At least two people are currently believed to be dead.
As specified by law enforcement agencies, an investigative task force has arrived at the scene of the incident. A criminal case has been opened.
It is noted that the house where the incident occurred was not supplied with gas.
Investigators are considering the version that the explosion was caused by an unknown explosive device located on the first floor of the building. Other details of the incident are still unknown; the investigation is being supervised by the Moscow prosecutor's office.
