A teenager who was driving around Istra in a Mercedes is accused of three counts at once.
Details of the incident were disclosed in the Telegram channel of the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region on Thursday, July 4.
Law enforcement officials reported that the incident occurred on June 27 in a parking lot near a shopping center in the village of Obushkovo.
A journalist from the Izvestia International Information Center was filming a report on teenagers violating traffic rules. At that moment, he noticed that someone in a foreign car had parked in a disabled parking space.
In this regard, the reporter asked the offending driver, who turned out to be a 16-year-old boy, a question. The minor backed up and hit the journalist, and then fled.
He was later found and a criminal case was opened. The young man is accused of illegally taking possession of a vehicle, hooliganism and obstructing the lawful activities of a journalist.
The court placed the minor under house arrest.
