A low temperature wash cycle may seem like a great idea.
However, don’t rush: there are a number of reasons why it’s better to forget about it forever.
Meaningless washing mode
Many modern washing machines have a 40 degree wash cycle.
It is possible to wash at such a temperature, but it is considered impractical. This is because the 30-degree mode will cope with simple stains.
At the same time, difficult stains require temperatures above 40 degrees.
It is also pointless because it lasts an average of 90 minutes. And the mode at 50-60 degrees differs by only 10 minutes, but the effectiveness of stain removal will be significantly higher.
In addition, for many fabrics the temperature limit is 30 degrees. And even exceeding this threshold by 10 degrees can seriously damage the item.
Therefore, children's clothes, terry towels and bed linen are not washed at 40 degrees.
