Experienced housewives never throw away eggshells and find useful uses for them.
For example, it is used to feed plants.
However, eggshells can also be added to coffee.
What's the secret?
Eggshells contain alkaline calcium carbonate.
This substance helps improve the taste of the aromatic drink, eliminating bitterness and sour aftertaste.
As a result, thanks to this trick, the coffee will become softer and tastier.
How to use correctly
First, the shell must be thoroughly cleaned both from the outside and from the inside.
It needs to be washed and heat treated. Then the shell needs to be crushed.
When using coffee makers, the shells can be placed in the coffee funnel.
Alternatively, you can put it in a teapot for a couple of minutes and then pour the drink into a mug.
One teaspoon of shell is needed for one cup.
You can also pour the shells into a saucepan, add water and coffee.
Put it on the fire and wait until the mass boils. Then cover with a lid and cook for about five minutes.
After this time, remove from heat, but do not open the lid for three minutes.
The drink can then be strained and will be ready for consumption.
