Rugs can really add beauty and glamour to a home if properly maintained.
There are simple methods that can be used to clean carpets at home without resorting to the help of professionals.
Remove stains with an iron
Do not put the iron away after ironing your linen and clothes.
In fact, it can be used with caution to remove stains from carpet.
First, vacuum the carpet to remove any excess debris.
Then soak the stains with a concentrated solution of one part vinegar and three parts water.
Place a wet towel on the stain and use an iron to iron it out.
As you move the iron over the towel, it will begin to absorb dirt from the carpet pile.
Baking soda
If you want your carpets to look as clean as if they just came from the store, use baking soda.
Make your own cleaning powder with a little essential oil and baking soda.
Mix 10-20 drops of oil and a small pack of baking soda. After a while, simply shake some fragrant baking soda onto the carpet, wait 5 minutes, and then vacuum.
