When we receive a gorgeous bouquet of roses as a gift, we always want the cut flowers to last as long as possible.
There are a few penny items you can add to your water to help prolong its life.
Let's figure out how to help plants maintain their beauty longer.
What to add to a rose to make it last longer
The first thing you need to do is clean the water of bacteria, which often cause the death of flowers.
To do this, it is enough to throw an aspirin tablet into a vase of roses, pour in a shot of vodka or add a pinch of citric acid.
It is also important to replenish the lack of carbohydrates in flowers. For this purpose, granulated sugar is poured into the water: just one teaspoon is enough for this purpose.
And if you want the flowers to last as long as possible, add ammonia to the water. The more lush and large the bouquet, the higher the concentration of the additive in the water should be.
