A carpet with a layer of old dirt does not decorate a home, but only spoils the overall appearance.
But there is no need to rush to take your carpet to the dry cleaner. Folk remedies can help deal with many types of stains.
Before the main part of cleaning the carpet, you should do some preliminary cleaning. First, you need to go over it with a vacuum cleaner to remove small debris.
Next, mix the cleaning solution. Pour 2 liters of water into a basin and add 2 tablespoons of soda.
To enhance the cleaning effect, add half a glass of vinegar (9%) and a little laundry soap.
All components are mixed and applied to the carpet using a brush in the direction of the pile.
When the entire area or a specific section is covered, take regular water and thoroughly wipe the carpet with a rag or terry towel.
This type of wet cleaning is more suitable for short-pile items. Long-pile options take longer to dry, so dry cleaning is preferable for them.
