What ingredients are prohibited to be poured down the sink
Let's start with the fact that it is strictly forbidden to pour vegetable oil into the sink. This is easily explained: this product does not dissolve in water, especially if it is cold, therefore, it can contribute to blockages.
The same goes for coffee grounds. Although they are quite small, they do not dissolve in water, which means they can also cause a blockage.
Hair should not be allowed to be washed down the sink. Despite its thickness, hair in the pipes gets tangled together, forming clumps, which also cause blockages.
Experts also do not recommend pouring boiling water into the sink. If you have PVC pipes, systematically pouring boiling water into the sink will lead to their gradual damage and eventually end in a puncture.
