If you notice that the water you use for tea doesn't taste as good as it used to, it's quite possible that the problem is with your kettle.
Let's figure out how to quickly and effectively clean an electric kettle at home.
Descaling agents
To tidy up your kettle, you will need:
- white vinegar;
- baking soda;
- degreasing dishwashing detergent;
- microfiber cloth and soft sponge.
Dilute vinegar with water in a 50/50 ratio, fill the kettle with the solution. Bring it to a boil, turn off and let stand for 20 minutes.
Unplug the appliance following the instructions, remove the filter and soak it in the same solution. Be sure to rinse with water and detergent afterwards.
Remove mineral deposits by soaking a sponge in vinegar.
To clean the outside of the kettle, use warm water with a few drops of detergent. If the stains don't come off, soda will come to the rescue.
