We put the phone on charge, but it does not see the charger, and accordingly does not charge.
This is a fairly common situation that many people face.
What is the problem and what to do in this case? You will find out about this now.
Check the socket for proper operation
It often happens that the phone does not charge because the socket does not work.
It's very easy to check - plug your phone into another outlet. If it still doesn't charge, then the problem is in the charger or smartphone.
Check the functionality of the adapter and USB cable
To do this, you need to connect the phone to another charger, if there is one. If not, connect the smartphone via USB cable to the computer.
If the computer does not see the smartphone, then the problem is in the charger. Presence of dust and debris in the connector
The thing is that if a lot of dust and debris has accumulated in the connector, the device may also stop charging. At first, it may only charge in a certain position of the cable, and then it may stop responding to the cable connection altogether.
It's very easy to check this - connect the cable to the phone - it should fit tightly in the socket, and there shouldn't be the slightest gap between the case and the cable.
If there is a gap or the cable does not fit tightly, it means that dust and dirt particles have gotten into the connector.
You can clean it yourself with tweezers or a toothpick, but you need to do this with the smartphone turned off and very carefully so as not to damage anything. Or you can contact a service center.
Check the charging indicator
If it is on and the phone does not charge, this indicates that the battery is faulty.
In iPhones, its status can be checked in the settings in the "Battery" tab. If its volume is 80%, then the message "service required" appears on the screen.
Reset settings
This is in case none of the methods helped to solve the problem. For example, if the smartphone is running the Android operating system, the reasons could be in the software failure of the built-in power controller. And this problem can be solved by resetting the settings.
But before you start resetting your settings, don't forget to make a backup copy first.
If none of the methods helped to solve this problem, then there is only one option left - contact the service center.
