Freezing helps keep food fresh.
However, not all dishes and products can be frozen.
Otherwise, they may lose not only their taste, but also their beneficial properties.
What foods should not be frozen
Freezing is not suitable for some prepared foods.
So, you can't put yoghurts in the freezer. They will separate and lose their flavor.
The same applies to mayonnaise, sour cream, milk and some types of cheese.
Avoid freezing foods that contain gelatin.
After defrosting, the taste and quality of some vegetables will deteriorate.
Therefore, it is better not to store zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes and cucumbers in the freezer.
Fruits are also not suitable for freezing. This applies in particular to apples. It is not advisable to freeze melon and watermelon.
Refreezing
Sometimes after defrosting, the product is placed back in the freezer. But this is a mistake.
It is absolutely forbidden to do this with meat and fish. Otherwise, various bacteria may begin to multiply in these products.
Earlier we talked about whether it is actually possible to pour boiling water down the sink.
